Seems Wendy’s kids menu toy, in conjunction with “America’s Got Talent”, has a Saxazoo instrument with it. I don’t think it’s going to create a huge demand for playing the real thing though….

Mark Powell writes “I’ve just been having a browse round the ‘net looking for saxophone related info and I’ve come across a company making bamboo saxophones (Elephant Lightfoot). I was just wondering if anyone else has either played/owns one of these peculiar instruments, or has seen any other saxophones made of equally strange materials?”
I don’t know, but doesn’t that defeat the the intent of a saxophone? Didn’t Adolphy Sax intend to mix a brass and a woodwind instrument together?
