I’m a HUGE fan of AirTags or a similar tag that works on the AirTag network. I put them on all kinds of things. Except that I frequently don’t monitor the battery status. So say that microphone box, that I want to keep track of, but don’t keep near me a lot of the time……all of a sudden, I can’t get the AirTag status cause the battery is dead. CR2032 batteries last about a year. About…Anyhow. So, what is the solution.
Elevation Labs Airtag Extended case is the answer. This takes your Apple AirTag, and then lets you use long lived lithium batteries (10 year ones!) to power it. So basically…..you aren’t going to have to worry about it for…..about 10 years.
I bought 4 of these, 2 for my cars, and 2 for microphone boxes. I might maybe get more, except they do not work with non-Apple Airtags out of the box. I suppose I could get creative and come up with a 3D print of a case to make them work with say my favorite tag, the eufy SmartTracker ones.
Highly recommended.
